Books: 
Central American Atlas of Fires or Atlas Centroamericano de Incendios (atlas.pdf; 1676 kb): Spanish. Published on November 1998. It also contains some information on comonitoring, a concept developed by PFA. Nov. 1998, 51 pages.

The last cut-out or El Último Despale (Only the content of the book: despale.pdf; 456 kb): Spanish. The book of GRET team, which participated in the organization of the PFA (1994). Those are the conclusions of the preparation process of the program. 1994, 136 pages.

Central American Events: 
Fires: Problematic and Perspectives or Incendios: Problemáticas y Perspectivas (incendios.pdf; 808 kb): Spanish. Summary of the technical meeting celebrated in San Pedro de Sula, which took place after the high risk fire season in Central America; which was aggravated by "El Niño" phenomenon on 1998. 17 pages.

Local alternatives for fire risk problems or Alternativas locales a la quema (archipielago.pdf; 324 kb): Spanish. Summary of different presentations by PFA´s partners (comunity based organizations partners of PFA) at the San Pedro Sula Meeting. Such presentations were presented as an example of alternative solutions during the high-risk fire season. Many of these solutions were applied on June 1998, with excellent results. 16 pages..

Descentralized Management or Comanagement of Environment in Central America or Manejo Descentralizado y Colaborativo del Medio Ambiente en Centroamérica (available at our Costa Rica Office)Summary of the meetings that took place between April 20 until 22 of 1998, celebrated in San Jose, Costa Rica. On the meetings discussions, general presentations and study cases (in different areas) like: The San Juan River in Nicaragua; Indigenous Talamanca, Costa Rica; San Ramon Town Council, Honduras; Gualaco Town Council, Honduras; ACLA, Costa Rica; Filo del Tallo, Darien, Panama; among others. 1998, 140 pages.

From Community to Computer or De la Comunidad a la Computadora (comcomp.pdf; 545 kb). Spanish. First edition (January 1998). This is the first edition fo advances and achievements accomplished by using the self mapping method. A new version of the book is considered to be written thanks to all the advances that the PFA have achieved using this innovating method. Pictures included. January 1998, 17 pages.)
