PROYECTO CENTROAMERICANO DE INFORMACIÓN GEOGRÁFICA (PROCIG):Contempla información bibliográfica y geográfica de Belice, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua y Panamá. Entre los imágenes que ofrece se pueden mencionar mapas sobre la división política departamental de los países, población, cobertura forestal, áreas protegidas, etc.

PROGRAMA DEL USGS EN RESPUESTA AL HURACÁN MITCH:El objetivo del programa del USGS relacionado al huracán Mitch es mejorar la disponibilidad de datos e información básica; proveer información para una mejor evaluación de daños, mitigación de desastres y manejo de los recursos naturales; desarrollar y distribuir mapas base, fotografía aérea e imágenes de satélite de los países afectados, e integrar esta información en un Sistema de Información Geográfica; y desarrollar estrategias regionales para la preparación, respuesta y mitigación de desastres naturales.

PRODUCTOS DE SATÉLITE DE LLUVIA Y DE INCENDIOS EN TIEMPO REAL PARA CENTRAL AMÉRICA: En este sitio web encontrará mapas de la región centroamericana con su correspondiente secuencia relacionados a la lluvia acumulada en 1, 3 y 4 horas. Así como mapas satelitales de los incendios que se suceden en esta región. Por otra parte contiene Compuestos/Climatología para América Central.

CENTRO AGRONÓMICO TROPICAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN Y ENSEÑANZA (CATIE): El Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE) es un centro regional dedicado a la investigación y la enseñanza de posgrado en agricultura, manejo, conservación y uso sostenible de los recursos naturales. Sus miembros regulares son: el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), Belice, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, República Dominicana y Venezuela. El presupuesto básico del CATIE se nutre de generosas aportaciones anuales de estos miembros, los cuales a su vez conforman su Consejo Superior.

CENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE AGRICULTURA TROPICAL (CIAT):es una organización sin ánimo de lucro, que hace investigación social y ambientalmente progresista, orientada hacia la reducción del hambre y la pobreza y hacia la preservación de los recursos naturales en los países en desarrollo. Los productos de esta investigación se consideran "soluciones que cruzan fronteras" porque trascienden las fronteras nacionales y superan, además, otras barreras.

RED DE OBSERVACIÓN DEL NIVEL DE MAR PARA AMÉRICA CENTRAL(RONMAC):
El sitio ofrece un link para conectarse a NOAA, USAID, entre otros. Aunado a ello presenta información general sobre la Red de Observación del Nivel de Mar para América Central (RONMAC) y un mapa de ubicación de las estaciones del proyecto.

IMÁGENES INTERACTIVAS DE SATÉLITES METEOROLÓGICOS GEOESTACIONARIOS:Incluye imágenes interactivas de satélites meteorológicos geoestacionarios de algunas regiones del mundo. Los mapas que incluye el sitio están enfocadas a la meteorología y a cubrir las zonas propensas a sufrir huracanes.

EL CENTRO DE INFORMACIÓN GEOGRÁFICA (CIGEO): El Centro surge como un proyecto en respuesta al Huracán Mitch auspiciado por el Servicio Geológico de los Estados Unidos (USGS) y la Agencia Internacional para el Desarrollo (USAID). El objetivo era la creación de un centro de distribución y capacitación en el manejo de la información geográfica.
